David Walliams has been getting relationship advice from Michael Caine.
The 'Little Britain' funnyman - who has been linked to a string of beautiful women including pop singer Geri Halliwell, socialite Paris Hilton, model Lauren Budd, glamour babe Abi Titmuss and actress Patsy Kensit- said the Hollywood legend convinced him to stop his serial dating and find one woman he could be devoted to.
David explained: "Michael said to me, 'I used to be like you. I used to think with women, it was about quantity. Then I realised it was about quality. Then I met my beautiful wife Shakira.'
"I know people reading this won't believe it, but people like me have low self-esteem. That's why we feel the need to date loads of girls. Then you realise it's not going to get you anywhere."
Michael said to me, 'I realised that I couldn't sleep with every woman in the world'. He was sharing a flat with Terence Stamp in the 60s. They must have... Well, it must have been a very, very exciting time to be young and famous.
The comedian said he has taken the 76-year-old actor's advice on board and is secretive about his current mystery relationship.
David, 38, added to The Sun newspaper: "My current relationship is new and exciting but I'd rather not jinx it. We've been good at keeping it out of the papers.
