Debra Stephenson is desperate to star in a musical. The former 'Coronation Street' star longs to "sing and dance", and would love to land a high profile role on stage in London's West End.Debra told Britain's Soaplife magazine: "I'd absolutely love to do a musical! Something I could sing, dance and act in. "I have a few things in the pipeline but I don't want to say too much because I might jinx things!"It would be a dream come true though."Before she tries her hand at musicals Debra is set to play Peter Pan in a pantomime at Nottingham's Theatre Royal.Earlier this month it was reported that Debra turned down the chance to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' to accept the stage role.
Her six-week run starts on December 7 and will reportedly earn her £150,000, while ITV bosses were said to have offered just half that to appear on the ITV reality show.
But Debra insists her decision wasn't influenced by a big pay day.
She said: "Peter Pan is one of my son Max's favourites so I couldn't turn it down. It'll be really exciting."
Debra has two children with her husband James Duffield - Max, five and 9-month-old Zoe Louise.
