Dermot O'Leary Facing The Sack?

Louis Walsh is reportedly calling for Dermot O'Leary to be sacked from 'The X Factor'.

The Irish mentor and judge of the ITV show is said to be angry with the host after they argued during Saturday's (07.11.09) show.

Louis has reportedly said Dermot "has to go" after the presenter leapt to the defence of Joe McElderry when the judge blasted him as "not an all rounder" following his performance of Elton John's 'Circle OF Life'.

Dermot replied: "Louis, he did a song by Journey last week; that to me is a well rounded pop star."

Louis replied: "You're not a judge. I'm a judge."

It is now thought Dermot's job is in jeopardy, with an insider telling the Daily Star newspaper: "Despite their onscreen differences, Louis and Simon are great pals and Simon would back him. Dermot is on thin ice."

Louis and Dermot initially fell out last year after the host made jokes suggesting he thought the judge was camp; leaving him shocked when Louis gave him a huge dressing down after one of the shows. Dermot quickly apologised.

A source said: "He never meant to be insulting. He was being matey and jokey.

"Simon Cowell is always saying things of a similar nature to Louis but he dismisses it as horseplay between two mates.

"Dermot has now apologised and promised he won't do it any more - and Louis has accepted it. They both just want to move on now."
