Luke Tittensor has revealed he would have no idea how to take an engine apart in real life, despite playing a mechanic in 'Emmerdale'.
The actor - who stars as Daz Eden in the ITV soap - says even though he has played the character for five years, none of Daz's mechanical knowledge has transferred to him in real life.
He said: "I think I'd be a rubbish mechanic. I can change a tyre, but as for taking an engine apart and putting it back together, I definitely couldn't do that. I don't know the first thing about it really!"
Luke also revealed if he wasn't starring as Daz in the show, he would like to play Eli Dingle.
He added: "I think playing Eli would be really interesting. I like him a lot because he is funny, very different and a bit crazy - he's off the wall. Joseph Gilgun, who plays him, is an amazing actor too."
