Graham Norton was ordered to "camp it up" for the latest series of 'Strictly Dancer Fever'.
The TV presenter has revealed that the show's straight producers constantly hounded him to act more gay.
He said: "They would make sure I was as gay as I was last week. So you say, 'I don't want to do this really gay joke', and they say, 'You think of a better joke', and then you say, 'All right, I want to be taken up the a**e'"
The Irish comic shot to fame with his risqué late night Channel 4 chat show, 'So Graham Norton', but had been asked to tone down his crude humour for the BBC.
He is now being lined up to front new show 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?' - a nationwide search to find the lead for Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest West End musical 'The Sound Of Music'.
