Graham Norton To Stay With The BBC

Graham Norton is staying with the BBC.

The ‘Strictly Dance Fever’ host has dismissed the rumours he is planning to quite the corporation and return to Channel 4, where he started his career.

The 43-year-old presenter also hit out at Channel 4 boss Kevin Lygo for suggesting he had been in talks with him about the alleged transfer.

Norton was quoted in Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “Honestly, I’m quite annoyed because it is actually rubbish.”

“I mean, Kevin, what are you talking about? Because we haven’t really talked about it, so I don’t know what he is rambling on about.”

Norton - who left Channel 4 for the BBC in 2004 in a staggering £3.5 million deal - added: “In the past, at Channel 4, I’ve been very well paid and at the BBC I am very well paid, so in that way money is not the deciding factor to where I work.”
