Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has blasted reports he was snubbed by organisers of the Democratic National Convention in Colorado last week, insisting it was he who turned down the invite.Rumours surfaced recently alleging the Bad Boy Records boss had been uninvited to the Denver event - which saw Illinois senator Barack Obama officially accept his party's nomination to run for the White House. It was claimed that the politician's advisers feared an association with Combs could jeopardise their campaign, and so withdrew his invitation to the four-day gathering. But Combs' representative has refuted the claims, insisting the star had been asked to attend - but was unable to due to family commitments. The spokesperson tells OK! magazine, "That's completely untrue. "An Obama adviser invited Diddy to the convention, but he was unable to attend because he was supposed to be in Los Angeles on vacation with his family."The rep added that Combs, who is father to five children, enjoys a "close relationship" with Obama.
