Joe Calzaghe feels like he "hit the jackpot" when he was given Kristina Rihanoff as his 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner.

The former boxer, 37, is thrilled to be paired with the 31-year-old blonde beauty, who he has been photographed cuddling during breaks in their dance training.

Calzaghe said: "I was nervous about doing this, but hit the jackpot getting Kristina for a partner. We get on really well. My dancing experience is zero so I'm starting with a clean slate."

Whatever happens, it's got to be more fun than getting punched in the head.

Calzaghe split from his girlfriend last month, while Rihanoff, 31, has been single since her affair with fellow dancer Vincent Simone during the 'Strictly Come Dancing' live tour earlier this year. Simone had a pregnant girlfriend at the time of the affair.

Photos of the pair holding hands and hugging sparked rumours they were dating but Calzaghe has denied he is romantically involved with Rihanoff.

His spokesman said: "They are enjoying dancing with one another and they get on well, but there is no more to it that that."

Calzaghe and Rihanoff will make their debut as dance partners when 'Strictly Come Dancing' stars on BBC One on September 18.
