Peter Andre Lands Solo Reality Show

Peter Andre has been given his own reality TV show.

The Australian singer appears in one-off ITV2 documentary 'Peter Andre: Going It Alone' tonight (17.08.09), which sees him burst into tears 10 times over the end of his marriage to glamour model Katie Price.

Bosses were so impressed with the 36-year-old star's performance, they have since commissioned a six-part series, which will be called 'Peter Andre: The Next Chapter'.

Peter is said to be thrilled with the new programme, especially after Katie - also known as Jordan - allegedly tried to sabotage it by barring him from attending a recent party thrown by ITV boss Peter Fincham.

An insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The party was brimming with big cheeses. Jordan threw a wobbler and banned Pete from going. It was a huge bust-up.

"She hated the thought of him being there. As far as Jordan's concerned, Pete's nothing without her. She always saw him as her sidekick.

"The idea of him being the main event and having his own show is infuriating for her. But for all her best efforts, he's still landed a new show."

Meanwhile Katie - who Peter walked out on in May after pictures of her flirting with other men were published - also has her own solo reality TV show 'What Katie Did Next' commissioned by ITV2, which will air in the autumn.

As a couple Katie and Peter made reality shows including 'Katie and Peter' and 'Katie and Peter: Stateside' for the same broadcaster.

'Peter Andre: The Next Chapter' will premiere on ITV2 on October 1.
