Ricky Gervais Set For Chat Show

Ricky Gervais is set to interview his comedy heroes for a new TV show.The comedian will meet Larry David, who created hit US comedy 'Seinfeld' and Christopher Guest, star of 'This Is Spinal Tap', in 'Ricky Gervais Meets..'The show will air on Channel 4 - where the star of 'The Office' and 'Extras' got his first break seven years ago - and will be shown in the New Year. The first instalment is expected to be an hour-long special.Gervais, 44, admits he is thrilled to be given the chance to meet some of the comedy greats he idolises.The comic star - who has scooped a record five nominations at this year's British Comedy Awards for 'Extras' - said: "Larry never gives interviews but he loves 'Extras'. This is the upside to fame, meeting your heroes and finding out they're fans."
