Russell Brand has been axed by MTV - for the second time. The music channel's bosses have decided to drop Russell's weekly entertainment show '1 Leicester Square' at the end of the year.Russell - who is set to launch a Channel 4 show later this month and present a Saturday night programme on BBC Radio 2 - has reportedly been left disappointed by MTV's decision. However, the music channel insists the decision was mutual and praised the former drug addict's "unique talent".An MTV spokesman said: "It is always a difficult decision to end any show, but Russell and the team have done a fantastic job. Everyone at MTV is very proud that we were the first company to recognise his unique and exuberant talents."Russell was fired from MTV in 2001, when he turned up for work dressed as Osama bin Laden - just days after the 9/11 terrorist attack. The comedian's final show will be a New Year's Eve special.
