Actress Sheree Murphy had to face her worst fears when she climbed in several boxes of insects on 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' last night (24.11.05).

The former 'Emmerdale' star – who had to fight off rats, snakes and maggots to win food for her camp mates - says she never imagined she'd be brave enough to get so close to the various creepy crawlies.

She said: "I never thought I'd do this.

"But I'm doing it for the others, everyone’s starving."

The brunette won five stars after battling a host of nasty creatures in her solo Bushtucker Trial.

The actress had to stand in slime, forage among beetles, spiders and snakes and stand in boxes of ants and rats to win precious stars for her jungle mates.

In one gruesome part of the 'Rocky Horror' task, Sheree, who is married to footballer Harry Kewell, had to shove her head into a tank heaving with maggots.

After winning a total of five stars, the plucky actress drew the line at braving a muddy pit full of baby crocodiles.

She said: "I think I could have handled the big fat eels but not those baby crocs!"
