'Will and Grace' star Debra Messing says becoming a parent stopped her obsessing about her appearance.

The sexy actress, who plays Grace in the hit US comedy, says she stopped being so neurotic about what she looked like after giving birth to son Roman last year - because he is now her top priority.

She said: "It's a relief. You find out so quickly what is essential. Before I had Roman, I might have spent an hour shopping for make-up. Now it doesn't even occur to me. If I need something, I order it online at midnight.

Messing also admits her baby son has even changed her wardrobe - because she has ditched her sexy outfits for more practical garments.

She added: "My wardrobe is more about pragmatism and functionality."
