Disney's Evermoor

Already a regular on Disney Channel Australia, Naomi Sequeira was picked up by the same casting team responsible for finding Zac Efron, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez for her new role as Tara on forthcoming Disney Channel series Evermoor.

"It's a family show, it's got American comedy and also English comedy which is a great combination." Naomi says, clearly excited about the new project she's a part of.

"It takes place at Evermoor Manor, which has this tapestry on the wall which also predicts the future."

Noting that it's a supernatural drama, the fact that the role she's stepping into is a "very cool geeky gal, which I could very much relate to" was one of the big drawing points for Naomi.

Her character Tara is an American teenager who's moved from her home in the US and brought to rural England.

Disney's Evermoor

Evermoor marks Disney's first ever time shooting a live action series in the UK for broadcast on Disney Channel US and in over 160 countries - filmed at the picturesque grounds of Arley Hall and Gardens where "the grass is just so green and pure!", as well as the surrounding village of Great Budworth in Cheshire.

Naomi assured us the chemistry on the set is great, saying: "everyone's so down to earth. Usually when you're on set there's one negative person but everyone in the cast and the crew - everyone's positive and we get along so well.

"I get along especially with Georgia Lock who plays Bella my sister, we're like best friends now! Everyone's lovely... oh and their accents, hello!"

George Sears from Leigh-on-Sea, Finney Cassidy from Manchester and Jordan Loughran are also starring in the series as well as Georgie Farmer, Alex Starke, Belinda Stewart-Wilson, Dan Fredenburgh, Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Sharon Morgan, Clive Rowe and Georgie Glen.

Naomi will still be doing her show back in Australia - Adam and Naomi - but thinks this show is going to do well "because we have such an amazing cast and the chemistry's just gonna show on-screen. We have such a fantastic storyline and a great location."

Disney EMEA commissioned Lime Pictures to produce the series, created by Tim Compton and Diane Whitley, scripted by Bede Blake, produced by Tim Compton and executive produced by Rebecca Hodgson. Chris Cottam sits in the director's chair for the series.
