Pregnant Hannigan Wearing Fake Baby Bump for Filming

Expectant actress Alyson Hannigan dons a prosthetic baby bump while filming How I Met Your Mother - because she's not as pregnant as her character in the hit U.S. show.

But Hannigan admits she's relieved she doesn't have to cover up her baby bump with props as she did during her first pregnancy

The American Pie star is already mum to two-year-old Satyana, and the tot is set to become a big sister when Hannigan and husband Alexis Denisofbecome parents again later this year (12).

Hannigan has now opened up about her pregnancy, revealing she's still filming scenes as expectant Lily Aldrin in the series - but she's had to wear a fake bump for the shoot despite her own bulging belly.

She tells website Mother Nature Network, "It would have been better if I was due a little earlier so I wouldn't have to wear a pregnancy pad".

But Hannigan admits she's relieved she doesn't have to cover up her baby bump with props as she did during her first pregnancy.

She adds, "(I) had to hide behind things a lot. This time I don't have to".
