Brooke White was the latest casualty of the "American Idol" as she found herself evicted from the competition on Wednesday.
White was joined in the bottom two by constant elimination seat holder Syesha Mercado. White struggled with the Neil Diamond week, as her version of 'I'm a Believer' drew acid tongued Simon Cowell to descibe it as a "a nightmare," and while she fared better with "I Am I Said" she still sounded unconvincing.
True to form, the sobbing White thanked her supporters and said she was grateful for the opportunity before forgetting the words to "I Am I Said," perhaps she should have written them on her hand as she did on Tuesday.
White could possibley claim the title of the most pleasant contestant in recent memory, starting as one of the favorites she accepted the judges criticism or tried to deflect bad reviews with excuses or interruptions, but her performances steadily became weaker and weaker..
The potential Idol struggled with the pressure and the critical eye of the judges and the voters, often her eyes welled up when she got upset, and the tears appeared when she appeared in the bottom three, something that happened regularly.
The former nanny and general 'good' girl should look at childrens music for a career. Shes not a rock singer, she doesnt really do country well, and she moves around onstage like shes trying to learn to walk all over again.
Whites demise wasn't a real shock, that was reserved for Jason Castro who sang a lot worse than she did on Tuesday, and didn't even give the impression he was trying.
