Danny O' Donoghue thinks 'The Voice' will give the music industry a "kick up the ass".
The Script frontman and coach on the BBC One show has been hugely impressed with the talent of the contestants and believes it will show people how many great undiscovered singers there are in Britain.
He told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I don't want to get into a war with anyone but there was a certain amount of musicality missing from the acts and judging of other TV talent shows. Most artists on 'The Voice' p**s all over the UK pop scene.
"Seriously why are we watching R'n'B singers out of breath and miming on Saturday morning TV? It should give the whole industry a kick up the ass."
Although Danny is the least well known among the coaches - who also include Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and will.i.am - he says he is the most organised.
He explained: "Some people might think I'm the underdog but the BBC have told me I'm the most organised of all the judges. When my contestants are done with me, they're going to be able to walk through the industry with their heads held high."
