Davina McCall's half-sister Caroline Baday has died of cancer.
The 'Million Pound Drop' host is in mourning after her beloved 50-year-old sibling lost her battle against cancer yesterday (01.08.12).
Davina tweeted: "My beautiful brave sister Caroline (@madfroggy) lost her fight against cancer today. My heart hurts so much. (sic)"
The 44-year-old former 'Big Brother' presenter's followers tweeted her with messages of support and condolences.
Davina then shared a photograph of her older sister smiling on her hospital bed along with the caption "my amazing sister..."
She added to her fans: "Thank you for your kind messages... Xx".
Davina first notified fans that her sister was unwell a few weeks ago, and recently tweeted: "Sorry, I have sort of disappeared.on family hols, sister still poorly so no tweeting but checking in every now and then.Thank u for asking x."
The bubbly presenter has also received messages of support from her celebrity friends.
TV host Kate Thornton sent Davina a tweet saying: "I'm so, so sorry to hear that. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to you all. Sometimes life is too, too cruel x. (sic)"
Spice Girl Emma Bunton added: "I am so sorry to hear this, thinking of you and your family at such a sad time. Sending you lots of hugs (sic)"
