Eamonn Holmes has sparked outrage after asking a sex addict if she had considered prostitution.
The 52-year-old presenter shocked 'This Morning' guest Crystal Warren - who has slept with over 1,000 men - yesterday (31.01.12) when he asked if she had thought about charging for sex.
He asked: "Have you never thought about making a business of it? Charging for it?"
Shocked Crystal responded: "What, becoming a prostitute?"
Eamonn then said: "Yeah, but I mean if you are not particularly selective, what I'm saying is, why wouldn't it be a business to you?"
However, the 42-year-old guest insisted she didn't want to be "a robot".
She said: "Then I become like a robot. This way I am enjoying it, I do it when I want to do it, I get to choose who I sleep with."
The presenter was later slammed by medical experts for his "irresponsible" line of questioning.
Doctor Thaddeus Birchard, from The Marylebone Centre for Psychological Therapy, said: "It was an irresponsible comment.
"It shows no understanding of the true nature of sex addiction, I meet people all the time whose lives are in disarray because of their sex patterns and people are very distressed by this."
Despite a number of twitter users expressing their shock over the interview, ITV insisted they had not received any official complaints.
A spokesperson said: "Eamonn's question was in the context of a wider balanced and frank interview and we have had no complaints."
