Gossip Girl actress Michelle Trachtenberg is returning to crime fighting for her latest acting role in her own U.S. TV series.
The 25 year old played an expert spy and criminal investigator in 1996 kids movie Harriet the Spy.
And now she's signed a deal with executives at the CW network to develop, produce and star in an as-yet-untitled series, about a young criminology student "with a gift for profiling and a dark past", according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Trachtenberg will be working with familiar faces on her new set - Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are also named as producers on the new series.
