Primeval V
Get ready for explosive dinosaur drama for all the family as the multi-award winning drama Primeval bares its newly sharpened teeth for a brand new series which will premiere exclusively on Watch on the 24th May at 8pm.
Starring Hannah Spearritt, Andrew-Lee Potts and Ciarán McMenamin, Primeval V follows a government funded team known as the Anomaly Research Centre (or ARC) as they battle to prevent anomalies which rip holes in the fabric of time - allowing deadly creatures from the past and future into the modern world.
The team is headed up by ex-solider and zoological expert Matt Anderson (McMenamin). Supporting him is ARC veteran and student of Paleontology, Connor (Potts) and his zoologist girlfriend, Abby (Spearritt).
Philip Burton (Alexander Siddig); an entrepreneur funding the ARC in a public-private partnership with the government is also ever present.
Primeval has thrilled audiences worldwide with its compelling storylines and incredible visual effects since the series launch in February 2007.
The show has garnered a wealth of critical acclaim including The Observer, who described the show as 'terrifically good fun, nostalgic and modern at the same time.' And The Daily Telegraph who simply said that Primeval was 'multi-layered, fast, frightening and unashamedly good fun.'
The nail-biting climax of series four saw Connor confiding that the anomalies or ‘earthquakes in time’ are becoming frighteningly more frequent and will culminate in a destructive catastrophe unless they find a way to stop them.
As series five begins, the team embarks on a treacherous quest to prevent the ultimate disaster from striking.
Devised by ‘Walking With’ creators, Adrian Hodges and Tim Haines, Primeval V will deliver more incredible monsters and bigger, more powerful storylines, which audiences from the past four seasons have come to love. The fifth season does not disappoint as the team battle with furious Lipleurodons, murderous Raptors and lethal Future Beetles.
Primeval V will be the most explosive series yet as viewers witness the addition of an intriguing new character, April, who promises to shake things up within the ARC.
The twists of the series do not stop here, just what exactly is Connor up to in his secret lab and does anyone really know what chief investor Phillip’s (Alexander Siddig) true motivations are?
