'Emmerdale''s Rik Makarem wants to take part in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The actor - who plays Gennie's love interest Nikil Sharma on the popular ITV1 soap - has revealed he's been practicing his dance moves in his bedroom in case producers come knocking on his door because he thinks he's a "great mover".
Rik told Inside Soap magazine: "There's been talk about it, and I'd never say never. I always saw myself on 'Strictly' - I've got no qualifications other than the fact that I think, from practicing in my bedroom, that I'm a great mover!
"I'll leave it up to the ladies to decide if I'm right..."
The soap star - who also appeared on sci-fi drama 'Torchwood' in 2009 - also admitted he has ambitions to break the music industry, and is currently working on several tracks.
He said: "I'm writing mainstream material with a couple of different artists. And most recently I've been working on a track that I'm trying to get published in time for the Olympics. Watch this space!"
Rik, 30, added that he would like to see his explosive on-screen relationship with Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) continue to be just as tumultuous. He explained: "I think those two are at their best when there's something wrong and they have some kind of obstacle or hurdle to overcome.
"That's not to say that I want them to be unhappy, but conflict seems to bring out the best in them. And it makes for fun viewing too!"
