Sammy Winward is "scared to death" about the live episode of 'Emmerdale'.
The soap is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year by airing a live show and while Sammy - who plays Katie Sugden - was initially pleased to be involved, she admits she's having sleepless nights about it.
She said: "I really am scared to death. It's such a massive thing, such a responsibility that I'm terrified something will go wrong in front of millions of people - and it will be my fault.
"This is probably the biggest challenge I've ever faced - the most terrifying thing I've been asked to do.
"The sleepless nights have started already. Put it this way, I'm going to be stocking up on Rescue Remedy and relying on my friends to help me through!"
The dramatic episode will focus on Katie's eventful wedding, as well as Chastity Dingle's nuptials, the birth of three babies and a shock death and Sammy confesses there will be a lot of hard work involved to get it right.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "When we were talking about doing a live episode I thought it sounded great.
"Then Lucy Pargeter - who plays Chas - came in and said, 'I think you'd better look at your scripts.' I couldn't believe it, I'm in it loads, but as I keep telling myself, it will be a challenge."
