Gary Barlow is reportedly planning to quit 'The X Factor' after the current series.
The Take That singer - who claimed he was "embarrassed" to be a judge last weekend after his act Carolynne Poole was booted off the show in favour of controversial performer Rylan Clarke - is said to be preparing to reunite with his bandmates for a new album and tour so he won't have time to work on next year's series of the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The events of the last week have really confirmed in Gary's mind that he needs to get back to what he loves best.
"Gary and host Dermot O'Leary laid the law down at Mayfair's Dover Street Arts Club on Tuesday night with the whole 'X Factor' team.
"Judges Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger were both there but Louis and Gary sat at either ends of the room and hardly exchanged a word all night.
"Gary is going to give this series his all and then it will be full steam ahead for Take That.
"The lads are enjoying a bit of freedom at the moment, but they are all united in their desire to get Take That back on the road.
"A new album and tour have been discussed and all five of the boys are making really positive noises."
Gary is said to have met up with his bandmates Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange over the past week to discuss plans for their next assault on the charts.
The group were also reportedly joined by Robbie Williams, who reunited with the group for what was supposed to be a one off album and tour in 2010.
According to sources the group have pencilled in time in the studio before the end of next year and are hoping to do a huge tour in early 2014.

good for Gary - it was an embaressment to watch too, so much for being a singing competition there are programmes for people who have the entertainment factor, Ryaln should have gone to one of those!

I shall start by saying that this year's X Factor's talent is absolutely brilliant and probably this is another Leona Lewis year. However, Rylan should not be in the final twelve let alone the final eleven. Yes he has the entertainment factor but talent comes first, and Rylan may have talent (thank you very much, Mr Barlow) and he may improve each week and might even sell records. But he shouldn't have got any further than Judges' Houses (Adam Burridge was way more suited for the final twelve). I was outraged that the fantastic country singer Caroline Poole was eliminated in favor of Rylan. Louis sees that Rylan is a great entertainer but I would have found the decision between Ms Poole and Rylan quite easy: Rylan sorry but you're going home and Caroline your through! Anyway Rylan's definitely out next week.

What bugs me is the question they all ask to a contestant, 'but can you sell records?' I think they should remember this when deciding on a good singer and a good entertainer that cannot sing. Rylan should have entered Britains Got Talent where people don't have to be singers to enter. Carolyn Poole was terrific, and we thought she would win the X factor. I hope that she does better than whomsoever does win, like many who have come 2nd or 3rd or been booted off completely.
Let's face it how many of the actual winners get anywhere? Better to be a loser winner than a winner winner for they have to spend a year working on an albulm and touring and by then everyone has forgotten them. The losers only have to wait 4 months before bringing out an albvulm and generally fare better.
I wonder if sometimes the judges boot out another judges contestant for they see them as competition to their own contestants. The show is so not fair to the really talented people.
