Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs will consider running away with his baby after his girlfriend goes on a rampage.
The unlucky-in-love mechanic's partner Kirsty Soames gets extremely violent following the birth of the couple's daughter, Ruby, as she struggles to cope with motherhood, and in shocking scenes she will trash their kitchen when the tot refuses to stop crying.
Her neighbours hear Kirsty's rampage and inform Tyrone - who is working at the garage - and he rushes home as he knows how dangerous she can be after a string of beatings at Kirsty's hands.
So Tyrone (Alan Halsall) considers taking Ruby as he fears for the baby's safety but Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) begs him to stay.
She tells him: "Ty, I'm so sorry about what happened. I promise I didn't harm Ruby. She just wouldn't stop crying and it all got a bit much, that was all. I promise you, I didn't touch her. You won't take her will you?"
Natalie says filming the birth scenes for the ITV1 soap sent her into a meltdown as she was worried they weren't realistic enough.
She said: "Did I say I panicked? I meant I had a night-sweating, terror chilling, stomach churning, meltdown! I had to get it right!"
