Warwick Davis will join Karl Pilkington on the third series of 'An Idiot Abroad'.
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are sending Karl around the world for a third time with the 'Life's Too Short' star as his first ever companion on 'An Idiot Abroad: The Short Way Round', but Karl isn't sure how the partnership is going to work.
He said: "I don't know how it will work out.
"Honestly. Edmund Hillary had that Tenzing fella, Ben Fogle had James Cracknell. I've been given an Ewok."
But Ricky believes Karl and Warwick - who starred as an Ewok in 'Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi' - will "get along fine" on the Sky1 show, which will see the pair explore various cultures and traditions on a 5,000-mile journey from Venice to Eastern Europe, India and China.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Karl once said to me that opposites attract.
"Warwick Davis is sociable, hard-working and never complains. They should get along fine."
Dwarf Warwick will also use the trip to see how accepting each country is of diminutive visitors.
Ricky recently revealed plans for Karl and Warwick to travel around the world on a bicycle with the 'Willow' star in a basket on the front.
He said: "Karl has finally signed the contract for 'The Short Way Round', cycling around the world with a dwarf in his basket. He signed this week so he can't back out now.
"When I told him that idea, he didn't say, 'That's ridiculous'. He said, 'So I'm doing all the f***ing pedalling?' That was his first problem with the idea."
