Amanda Holden will be a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' for "as long as it keeps running".

The 44-year-old actress and television personality has revealed she has had a personal assurance from the show's creator - and fellow judge - Simon Cowell that she will always be welcome on the panel until the show ends.

She said: "Will I bow out? Well, I don't know ... but if they beg me to come back, of course!

"Anyway, Simon's said that as long as it keeps running I'll be on it. Actually, I need to get that in writing from him, really!"

But if she ever does get the boot, she's made the 55-year-old music mogul promise to call her himself to tell her the bad news, a job which is usually handed to the head of the show's production company, Richard Holloway.

She added: "I've insisted he phones me himself, which he's never done with anyone else he's got rid of.

"Whenever Richard calls me, I ignore the call. I always tell people I'll always be on Britain's Got Talent because I'll never pick up that call or listen to the voicemail!"

And Amanda believes she has the "humble" qualities that Simon looks for when he picks a judge for the talent show.

She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I still feel new every time I start a series. Simon says I haven't changed. I still get so excited.

"Also I'm humble. I don't have an ego and don't take anything for granted, which I think are the qualities he recognises. He can't stand people who think they're bigger than the show."
