The 'Love Island' winner has made no secret of the fact she wants to take her career to the next level by bagging a role on a soap, and it looks like her dreams are finally set to come true as she's been meeting with bosses about starring in the popular ITV show.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Amber had a secret meeting with the casting director on 'Corrie' last week and things were looking promising.

"Her acting agent had set up the discussion and she came away from the mini-audition full of confidence and bosses certainly liked her. She's been determined to get into acting ever since winning 'Love Island' so it felt like a positive move."

The meetings come just weeks after the brunette beauty said she would make the perfect addition to a soap as she's trained professionally in theatre, dance and singing.

She said at the time: "I definitely would love to go into a soap. I've trained for three years in musical theatre and that is one of my biggest dreams. I would love to use my talent and passion to do what I want and to have a long, nice, future in what I love to do ...There's a lot more to me than just being on 'Love Island' and, of course, I will also be grateful because it gave me that platform and I've experienced some incredible things since coming out and that will never ever go but I'm trying to work as hard as I can."

And, although she's got her eye on a soap for the moment, the 21-year-old star would eventually like to follow in former 'Coronation Street' star Michelle Keegan's footsteps by bagging a role in the army drama 'Our Girl' - a show she's starred in since 2016.

She said: "I'm a trained actress and hopefully I can get back into it because it's what I love. I'd love a part like Michelle Keegan's in 'Our Girl'. I know it wouldn't be straight to that but you've just got to keep working hard."
