The presenting duo - comprised of Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly - have made household names for themselves with their Saturday night entertainment show, and proved for the third time they are worthy of a TV BAFTA for the show when they won the award on Sunday (15.05.17).

It was West Yorkshire drama 'Happy Valley' that won big at the ceremony - which honours the very best programmes and performances of 2016 - though, taking home both the Drama Series award, and bagging actress Sarah Lancashire the accolade for Leading Actress.

True-crime drama 'Damilola, Our Loved Boy' - which tells the story of Damilola Taylor's tragic murder - also scored two awards, winning the Single Drama award, and giving actress Wunmi Mosaku her first ever TV BAFTA for Supporting Actress.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge took home the award for Female Performance in a Comedy Programme for her role in 'Fleabag', whilst Steve Coogan won the male counterpart for 'Alan Partridge's Scissored Isles'.

'Emmerdale' was presented with the Soap & Continuing Drama award for the second time, whilst the Scripted Comedy award went to 'People Just Do Nothing'.

The coveted Fellowship accolade - which is the highest award presented by the Academy - was this year presented to Joanna Lumley in acknowledgement of her 40-year long career, whilst Nick Fraser received the Special Award for his work in documentaries such as 'Project Nim' and 'Notes on Blindness'.

Meanwhile, despite dominating the nominations with nods in five categories, Netflix drama 'The Crown' - which starred former 'Doctor Who' actor Matt Smith - failed to pick up a single award on the night.
