The operations executive and the sales account manager are said to have enjoyed a drunken one night stand at a party hosted by fellow candidate Natalie Dean after they'd finished filming the show earlier this year.
Elle, 21, and Mergim, 23 couldn't stop flirting with one another when they were reunited at Natalie's home near Coventry and one thing is said to have led to another, with the pair sneaking off to a spare bedroom.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Tension had been building between them. When filming finished and booze was involved, they allowed their feelings to develop.
"They kept poking fun at each other and acting like teenagers, then snuck away from the group and had sex. Next morning they had sore heads and it seems regret crept in. They've kept in touch since but a full-blown romance is unlikely."
However, they're not the first candidates to hook up after meeting on the show as last year 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner James Hill is said to have romanced Lauren Riley while Jordan Poulton admitted to having secret romps with Luisa Zissman in a cupboard in the house the contestants lived in 2013.
