The former Pussycat Doll singer is keen to nab the highly sought-after hosting gig when the singing show returns to screens later this year as she believes she's got what it takes to make it "fun" and will pour her heart into the weekend job.

She explained: "It could be something that's fun. If the opportunity arose, I'd definitely treat it as something I would commit to if I felt passionate about it, you know?"

The 34-year-old star burst onto the presenting scene after her stint on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2012 and is confident she has a chance at swiping the hosting gig as she's already got various projects lined up with ITV this year.

She told Loaded.co.uk: "When I came out of 'I'm A Celebrity', ITV had me do a little piece off camera and then I did 'Ant Vs Dec'. This year, they've asked me to do more stuff and it's worked out well. I feel more comfortable now ... Music is my soul and I love singing and dancing but being on the road is not a real way of life for me anymore. Television has taken such a cool turn for me recently and I want to do more of it."

Meanwhile, bosses are frantically on the hunt for a new presenter after Olly Murs and Caroline Flack, who hosted the show last year, recently announced their departure.

However, at the moment, it's rumoured former host Dermot O'Leary, who was dropped and replaced in 2014, has been offered a huge sum to return when the new series hits.
