'Hollyoaks' star Ashley Taylor Dawson is gutted after being voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing' tonight (08.12.13) but plans to release an album with his sister.
The 'Hollyoaks' star and his professional partner, Ola Jordan, were eliminated in the quarter final after a dance-off against Patrick Robinson, who won over the judges, Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli with his rumba.
After hearing the result, the 31-year-old actor said: "I went out on my best dance, so for that I'm glad. It is what it is, I can't complain.
"They saw what they saw - who am I to argue?"
Head judge Len Goodman argued that Ashley's salsa was better than Patrick's dance but it was not enough to save the actor, who is now planning to release an album with his sister.
He said: "We make music and have played together for years. It's not about the fame, we do it for ourselves because we enjoy it."
Ashley thanked the "lovely" Ola, who admitted she isn't sure if she wants to return to the series next year after falling out with Karen Hauer, and his "amazing fiance" Karen McKay for supporting him during the series.
The couple welcomed their second son, Mason, in October.
