Marco Polo is back on Netflix with a second season, and the streaming service have now revealed a new featurette going behind-the-scenes of the show.

Allowing a small glimpse of what viewers can expect in the batch of new episodes, we'll once again see Lorenzo Richelmy in the titular role, with Michelle Yeoh, Benedict Wong, Joan Chen, Zhu Zhu, Tom Wu, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Rick Yune, Remy Hii, Mahesh Jadu and Uli Latukefu also starring.

John Fusco is executive producer and showrunner alongside Dan Minahan, with Patrick Macmanus, Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein and Elizabeth Sarnoff as executive producers.

A synopsis for the second season reads: "In a world replete with greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry, Marco Polo is based on the famed explorer's adventures in Kublai Khan's court in 13th Century China, and the dark and tempestuous battle for the expanding Mongol empire."

Marco Polo seasons 1-2 are available now on Netflix in all territories where the platform is available.
