Dannii Minogue's 'Britain And Ireland's Next Top Model' has been given the chop.

The singer and TV host had only fronted the show for one series but now channel Sky Living has pulled it from schedules in favour of focusing on 'The Face' - Naomi Campbell's new fashion show.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "'Top Model' has done good business for Sky but all good things come to an end.

"'The Face' is a new format that is getting talked about so that's where the emphasis will lie. Both shows could have run on the channel, but there is a new boss and she wants to make changes."

Dannii had turned down a £1 million offer from Simon Cowell to return to 'The X Factor' in the UK as a judge in favour of 'Top Model', but the show's viewing figures were down to around 400,000. However, these are roughly double the amount of people who have been tuning into 'The Face' since it started last month.

The news comes at a difficult time for Dannii, as she has also lost her grandmother to cancer in September, leading to her breaking down on the Australian version of 'The X Factor' - where she is still a judge - after a contestant gave a particularly emotional rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's hit 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

She said afterward: "I had the roughest week ever. That was for my parents and my grandfather, that song tonight. I've had the toughest time ... 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', was for anyone going through a tough time or anyone who needs to feel a little hope."

'Britain And Ireland's Next Top Model' has been running since 2005 and has helped launch the career of British model Abigail Clancy, among others.
