The sacked 'Coronation Street' star is due to appear in court on November 28 after a woman in her 30s and another lady in her 20s complained that he had inappropriately touched them at a music venue on Swan Street, in the Northern Quarter, on October 1.

A spokesman for the Crown Prosecution Service told Mirror Online: "The CPS authorised Greater Manchester Police on 29 October to charge Bruno Langley with two offences of sexual assault on a female on 1 October 2017.

"The charges relate to two complainants. He has been bailed to appear before Manchester City Magistrates Court on 28 November 2017."

Following his arrest, Bruno, 34, announced that he'd quit the ITV soap as Todd Grimshaw and thanked the cast and crew for working with him over the past 17 years.

He said: "Sadly, I will no longer be working on 'Coronation Street'.

"Acting on the show has been the fulfilment of a personal dream. Playing the role of Todd Grimshaw since I was 17 years old has been a huge part of my life, and an absolute honour. I would like to thank all of my friends who work on the show for their love, friendship and support during this extremely difficult period."

Although bosses of the show have confirmed Bruno's contract has been cancelled in the wake of the allegations, it's believed he will appear as Todd on screen until Christmas because those scenes have already been filmed.

A source said recently: "Scenes featuring Bruno will continue to be screened until December 24. These were filmed before our inquiry started. Subsequent storylines beyond this point have been rewritten."
