Caroline Flack has confirmed her place on the 'Strictly Come Dancing' line-up.

The former 'Xtra Factor' host is the twelfth celebrity to confirm she will be taking to the dancefloor to compete for the coveted glitterball trophy in the upcoming series of the BBC One dance contest, which kicks off on September 7.

Speaking to Scott Mills - who will also take part in the competition - on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, she said: "I am. I'm actually doing 'Strictly Come Dancing'."

She added: "The idea of doing it is exciting, I mean yesterday (27.08.14) we had our first day where I saw Scott and you saw everyone and you met everyone who's taking part and suddenly the reality kicked in and you're like, 'Hold on a minute!' It was like the first day of school."

However, the 34-year-old beauty - who previously dated One Direction hunk Harry Styles, 20 - isn't convinced she'll have better moves than the other celebrities taking part.

She explained: "Well, I like dancing...I love dancing. But sober? I don't know. Doing things like the cha-cha and the salsa, I don't know."

Caroline also revealed that each of the contestants had been given a code name so their place on the line-up could be kept a secret for as long as possible.

She asked Scott: "Are you allowed to talk about your code name? We've had these code names for like the last couple of weeks for when we've had to turn up to these medicals and stuff and you're not allowed to say, 'Oh it's Caroline Flack'. You have to walk in and go, 'Oh hello, it's chameleon here for my medical'. I'm chameleon."

Scott added: "Mine's salamander ... There's panther, firefly, hummingbird."

Caroline and Scott will join The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Mark Wright, Andy Murray's mum Judy and 'Mama Do' hitmaker Pixie Lott, among others.
