As one of The CW's biggest success stories, Arrow is currently wrapping up its fourth season and will go into its fifth later this year, with showrunners already teasing some of the details. What fans didn't know perhaps until now however is just what sort of villain Oliver Queen would be facing in the fifth season.

TVLine reports that this new face is James, a "man on a mission" who is "irrepressibly charming" and out for revenge following a loss in the years gone by. The casting call for James is still out, with an actor in his late 20s to 30s of any ethnicity being sought. He must be 'physically imposing' but will "just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy - and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he's more than capable of having a good time as he does it."

Though he very much sounds like a villain, James could just as easily be a new friendly face, especially due to his similarities to the Oliver we met all the way back in season 1. It's also likely that when we see the character on screen, he'll have a different name altogether. James seems very much like a name being used simply to shroud his true identity from eager DC fans.

Arrow continues Wednesdays in the US at 8pm on The CW, and on Sky 1 in the UK.
