The 'Bill' actor was the second housemate to leave the show after receiving the least amount of public votes.

Speaking to host Emma Willis after his exit, he said: "I've just got fed up with it. It's just so mad in there; I thought I was losing my sanity. Crazy arguments and shouting and screaming, it got a bit boring. I wanted to do my best."

The 68-year-old actor - who was nominated for eviction alongside Bobby Davro, Gail Porter and Stevi Ritchie and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello - also admitted the secret to avoiding a clash with fellow contestant Farrah Abraham was to ignore her and "tell her to not come near me".

In his exit interview, Chris revealed he was confident of the UK team's success.

He shared: "They're coping just fine. We are British darling. We don't turn on each other. We don't do that."

After the eviction, the show's 39-year-old host also revealed a twist is taking place shortly - a fake, fake eviction.

She explained to an excited crowd: "There is going to be a double fake eviction. Yes, we have got a secret room. Yes two housemates will be spying on the house.

"However, this time, we will be letting the rest of the house in on the plan. It's a fake, fake eviction and it's going to be awesome!"
