The 'Loose Women' panellist tragically lost her sister Bernie to breast cancer in 2013 and stood by her siblings Anne and Linda when they were diagnosed with the same illness, and has admitted she now searches her body for lumps every time she's in the shower because she convinced that she could develop the disease.

Speaking on the panel show on Wednesday (04.05.2017), Coleen, 52, said: "I'm quite obsessive with myself. I check every time I'm in the shower, or looking in the mirror and every six months I go to see a specialist.

"I've been known to get worms in my head since I was five but yes obviously I'm worried about it. That's three of my sisters who have had cancer."

Although Linda, 58, has been clear of breast cancer for six years, the singer was found to have a cyst on her pelvis after she fell and broke her hip in March and though she has been told the condition is not curable this time round, doctors are able to treat her and she could still have "years" to live.

Coleen explained: "She's incredible. She started it [chemotherapy] on Tuesday. She is having it every day on Tuesday's as well as taking tablets and injections.

"I phoned her yesterday but she messaged saying sorry she missed the call and that she was going for lunch. She is always thinking of her stomach. She is feisty but she always plays the cancer card. Humour gets us through it - the Nolan humour - people who don't get it say it's horrible. But it helps us."
