Danny O'Donoghue blasts 'The Voice' winner Leanne Mitchell.
The 29-year-old singer won the first series of the TV talent show but she has been slammed by one of the programme's judges after she old sold 895 copies of her self-titled debut album in its first week.
Leanne was mentored by Danny's fellow coach Sir Tom Jones, but The Script singer claimed she lacked the "work ethic" needed to become a big star.
He told The Sun newspaper: "That's not my fault, that's not the show's fault, that's not the BBC's fault, that's just her fault. You can take an artist like that and question their work ethic.
"I was told by Tom Jones, and by the label as well, that Leanne just did not want to work as hard as you have to work to be a pop star.
"She wanted to come on a show and win a singing contest. That's good for her, because she won the show. But it's not good for the premise of the show."
Tom recently admitted he hasn't listened to his former protege's record yet - and felt the release of Leanne's debut single 'Run to You' was "rushed".
He has said: "I've got the album and haven't listened to it yet. But I've heard the new single, 'If I Knew Then', and I think she's done a great job on it.
"Like everybody does, she needed time to live with the music then put it out. So I don't think the timing worked on her first single.
"It was rushed and the record company didn't take enough time with her. So hopefully now that they have taken time it will work."
