Dynamo tried not to think about dying while performing his gravity-defying London bus trick.
The magician stunned Londoners yesterday (23.06.13) when he pulled off an incredible illusion that saw him levitate through the air with just one hand on the upper deck of the number 543 as it travelled across Westminster Bridge, and while he admits it was risky, he was determined to pull it off.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was pretty awesome, it was something special. It was pretty dangerous.
"If it goes wrong then we'll never see what happened, but it didn't go wrong it went right. I don't have that attitude where I thought, 'What if something goes wrong?' I just think, 'This is going to happen. I'm going to pull it off. People are going to see it and I'm going to live for another day. We're going to live for now, forget about anything else. We're in this moment.'
"It's funny, people keep asking me about my phone, saying, 'What if you had dropped your phone?' It's like, 'Forget my phone, what if I'd have dropped? That would have been a bit more damaging!' "
Dynamo joked the trick only came about because he left his Oyster Card at home, but he is now hopeful the spectacular stunt will ensure his name will live long in the memory for years to come.
He added: "I think the image will live forever. Even 100 years from when I've gone, hopefully that image will still be floating around. No pun intended!
"When buses are hovering through the sky in the future, when someone creates hover buses in 2090 or probably a lot later than that, then hopefully people will see that picture and say, 'This is when buses used to go on roads. This guy Dynamo was hovering around.'
"Or maybe it will be the new mode of transport? I should have just not left my Oyster Card at home, should I? Then I we wouldn't have had problem!"
