Eamonn Holmes is set to front a new "cheeky" panel show.

The 56-year-old presenter may be used to sitting on the 'This Morning' red sofa alongside his wife Ruth Langsford but he's to branch off on his own this summer as he hosts the upcoming eight-part dating programme 'It's Not Me, It's You'.

He said of his new gig: "If you are in a relationship, single, or just nosey about who's dating who, this show is for you. Whether you are young or old you'll have something to contribute or learn from our celebrity panellists and games."

The programme, which will air on Channel 5 in a few months' time, will see two teams of celebrities and comedians go head-to-head over a series of fun games and challenges.

The team captains will be announced in coming weeks.

'It's Not Me, It's You' will be Eamonn's first proper gig - aside from the mid-morning breakfast show and presenting on 'Sky News' - since he was signed off work for 10 weeks to undergo a double hip replacement earlier this year.

And, although he's still got a little while to go before he'll have made a full recovery from the gruelling surgery, Eamonn has already started seeing improvements in his day-to-day life.

He said late last month: "I am far from the finished deal yet but any pain I have is a different pain, one which will get better. I stand straighter, am an inch taller, I can touch my toes and sit without pain."

Eamonn was first told he'd need the surgery on his hips when he was just 36 years old, but he refused to go under the knife because of his youthful age.
