The 58-year-old TV presenter - who was awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours list - has insisted he doesn't need the money and he has no interest in appearing in the Channel 5 reality TV show.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "This one is the biggest so far at £800,000. But no amount of money could tempt him.

"He's said it isn't about the money because he doesn't need to earn more cash than he already does through his TV projects.

"Eamonn told producers he absolutely loves the show and is a committed viewer, but definitely doesn't want to be a housemate."

However, Eamonn has reportedly told show bosses that he would be happy to take part in a task with the housemates.

Not much is known about the new series of 'CBB' but it'll hit screens on January 2, 2018, and will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote.

A statement from Channel 5 said: "Presented by Emma Willis, 'Celebrity Big Brother' will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their - and our - assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman - and man - in the 21st century."

The line up is yet to be confirmed by Channel 5.
