Emma Willis wants 'Big Brother' bosses to ban contestants from having parties in the house this series.

The 37-year-old presenter - who has replaced Brian Dowling as host of the Channel 5 reality show - wants housemates to work much harder for the £100,000 prize, and she has urged producers to take away their hair straighteners and only allow them one hour of hot water each day.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: "The show started out as a social experiment, and it was how people worked together and interacted.

"It is a game show, so you always have to have that element of sneakiness and naughtiness.

"But they get parties and they have a great time, and I just want them to work at it a bit more. I want them to only have one hour of hot water a day, to have to bake their own bread, to look after chickens, rather than letting them have everything.

"And take away their hair straighteners if they break a rule. They shouldn't even have hair straighteners.

"I don't want them to have parties. It's a £100,000 top prize - they should have to work for it. It shouldn't be easy."

Despite taking on the main presenting role this series, Emma will continue to host 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' alongside newcomers Rylan Clark and AJ Odudu, who has been hitting the gym hard to ensure she looks in shape when she makes her 'BBBOTS' debut.

She said: "I do quite a lot of exercise. I'm at the gym three to four times a week for an hour or so. I do body pump or spinning classes and I sometimes do Bikram or hot yoga. I like team activities too and often go running with my friends."

This year's 'Big Brother' series, which has a Secrets and Lies theme, will see housemates having to wash their clothes by hand through a mangle as well as grow their own vegetables.

'Big Brother' will kick-off on Thursday (13.06.13) at 9pm on Channel 5.
