The long-running ITV soap beat its rivals 'EastEnders', 'Coronation Street' and 'Hollyoaks' to the Best Serial Drama crown at the National Television Awards last night (25.01.17) and, although the cast were stunned by their win because they always get "overlooked" at big events, they've promised the show is just going to get "stronger and stronger" during 2017.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the glamorous ceremony, held at London's O2 Arena, the blonde beauty said: "It's been amazing. I think we've really turned over a leaf. It's just getting stronger and stronger, the storylines are getting better and there's still so much more to come as well. Watch this space if you think last year was good, this year will be even better."

And, although there always seems to be bitter rivalry between the different shows, the 32-year-old fitness guru - who previously worked on 'Hollyoaks' - has admitted she has a lot of respect for every soap actor because it's so tough to continuously shoot scenes every week.

She explained when asked if it felt good to beat the other soaps: "I think everyone is aware in each soap how hard everyone works and everyone swaps over as well."
