The 34-year-old actress - who plays Fiz Brown on the long-running soap - appeared on 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' last year, and some of her co-stars, including Shayne Ward, Faye Brookes and Katie McGlynn, are apparently keen to follow suit.

A TV insider explained: "Jennie's appearance has inspired many of the 'Corrie' cast - now they want to take part too.

"She absolutely loved her time in the jungle and Faye, Shayne and Katie are all eager to follow in her place.

"But TV bosses will only take on one 'Corrie' cast member member - and, so far, they have a tough decision on their hands."

The trio are all being eyed for an appearance on the next series of 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!', but the show's makers are still undecided about which of the actors is best suited to the programme.

The source told The Sun newspaper: "It's still very early in the process but a soap star is always a popular option for 'I'm a Celebrity'.

"Jennie was a real hit and 'Corrie' bosses were fine for her to take time off from playing Fiz Brown to be in the show."

Some viewers were critical of the contestants on last year's 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!', with people moaning that they'd never previously heard of the likes of Jack Maynard and Shappi Khorsandi.

And the ITV bosses are reportedly keen to attract some more high-profile names for the new series.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The pressure will be on to hire someone new who can find decent household names."
