The return of Jessica Jones is now right around the corner, and Netflix have this week celebrated the upcoming release of the second season with an all-new trailer, that kicks off with Jones (Krysten Ritter) putting her mark on an anger management session in New York. You can check out the brilliant new teaser below:
“Jessica Jones, you are a hard drinking, short-fused, mess of a woman,” fellow hero Luke Cage (Mike Colter) tells Jones during the trailer, as the super strong private investigator does her best to put her life back together following the traumatic Kilgrave-centric (David Tennant) events of the show’s first season.
Known throughout the city for her tremendous powers and abilities, Jones is recognised as a killer, and is doing her best to get through life without having to jump on any new cases. One changes her mind however, and it’s that case which sees her dig deeper than ever before into her past to explore the reasons why she’s become who she is today.
Clearly still with her issues, Jones will be not only tackling the crime that infects New York City, but more of her own personal demons, in what many believe to be Marvel’s most relatable and compelling TV series of all.
Ritter is joined by an all-star cast including returnees Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, and Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, as well as new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez in recurring roles.
Series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg executive produces the show alongside Jim Chory, Raelle Tucker and Jeph Loeb.
Jessica Jones season 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on March 8, 2018. Season 1 is available to watch in its entirety on the streaming platform now.
