The '8 Out of 10 Cats' presenter would love his own talk show, but thinks daytime programmes get the best guests, so would be interested in a position when he eventually quits his stand-up comedy shows.

Asked if he'd like his own chat show, he said: "Yes but I think our equivalent of those classic US chat shows are 'This Morning; and 'The One Show'. They're our version of their late-night chat shows - everyone goes through their doors and they get the best guests.

"So I'd love to do one of those. But maybe when I've stopped touring."

And Jimmy also has his eye on Simon Cowell's "sneery" judging slot on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

He said: "I don't know Simon that well, but it's an incredible job isn't it? And David [Walliams] does it well.

"But I would rather do Simon's job and be the sneery, horrible one. I'm available for that whenever Simon decides he's had enough."

The funnyman also confessed he's keen to branch out into movies.

He told heat magazine:"I'd love to do a bit of acting. I'm waiting to be offered a good baddie role.

"A lot of people have told me I would make a good terrifying serial killer. It doesn't seem like a stretch somehow."
