The 46-year-old fashion designer competed on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2013, which saw him eliminated in the third week and, although the star "enjoyed" his time on the talent competition, he wouldn't want to sign himself up to something similar.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I enjoyed my time with 'Strictly'. It was hard work - it was great to meet all the people, the dancers and everything. I'm not sure whether I'd like to go on another reality show talent like that. 'Strictly' is a once in a lifetime experience and there's not another show I'd like to go on."

And the only reason the creative mastermind agreed to take part in the competition, which saw his 'Britain's Next Top Model' co-star, Abbey Clancy, crowned the champion, was because he felt it was an "absolutely fashionably fabulous" opportunity.

He said: "It's one that came up as absolutely fashionably fabulous so I thought I'd have a go at it."

Although fans of the fashion mogul expected to see the star return to judge on the Lifetime show earlier this year, Julien was forced to turn down the opportunity to find a new catwalk icon because it clashed with his busy work schedule.

When asked why he wasn't part of the critiquing panel on 'Britain's Next Top Model', he said: "It was just the timing really. I'm a huge fan of the show and I'm good friends with Abbey - I dress Abbey quite a lot. I think she's a very glamorous, spring personality that we all love. I just couldn't do it, it just clashed with everything. It's like with lots of TV things: everything's always last minute. It's like 'Can you do it?' or 'When it is?', 'Oh it's next week?' I'm like 'I can't do it next week!'

"To be honest with you, I've been so busy focusing on my design work and special projects that I haven't really had time. TV projects take a lot of time and lot out of you. It's intense - they need you for weeks upon weeks and that [timing] is very hard for me to commit to."
