The 58-year-old presenter was forced to borrow the 'Good Morning Britain' co-host's clothes while he stepped in for Piers on Monday morning's (09.04.18) show alongside Kate, after his luggage went missing at Gatwick Airport late last night (08.04.18).

Kate, 50, asked Eamonn to explain to viewers why he was so "angry", to which he replied: "I'm having to wear Piers Morgan's suit today, I've got no clothes."

Kate laughed: "It looks a bit baggy on you."

Explaining his frustration at losing his possessions, Eamonn continued: "I was away over Easter for a few days and when I got back late last night into Gatwick Airport and you stand there, you know when you get a bit annoyed and you say, 'Where's my bag?'

"And then you get a bit more humble and think, 'Please make it come', then you pray and then there's just you and one other person standing there and you say, 'Has yours not arrived either?' "

Eamonn admits it would have been more disastrous if his wife Ruth Langsford had lost her luggage, and joked that he rocks tight-fitted Tanga underpants on holiday.

He said: "It could have been worse, it could have been Mrs Holmes' bag and then all hell would have kicked off.

"She had her seven bags. Someone out there might be doing very well with my Tanga briefs and my medium sized T-shirts and Hawaiian shirts."

Eamonn wasn't the only one in the studio who had a wardrobe mishap.

Kate sent the crew into fits of laughter when she discovered she still had a roller in her hair from make-up.

She said: "I've just discovered I've still got the roller in my hair. I wondered what was itching me."
